On October 4-5, 2019, Elena M. Efimova, NAA’s Deputy Director, took part in the III Central Asian International Forum on Quality Assurance in Education. The event was organized by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Forum in Turkestan involved over 600 participants. The event explored how to improve the quality of education in Central Asia and Europe; to promote qualitative institutional changes in the higher education; to increase the competitiveness of educational services; to improve the level of specialists’ training, graduates’ relevance and employment; to increase academic mobility and the internationalization of education; to form an effective system of interaction between universities, employers, stakeholders on the principles of balancing the interests of all participants in the educational process; to develop integration into the global educational space.
The annual Central Asian International Forum on Quality Assurance in Education held by IAAR attracts a large number of government officials, representatives of academic and professional community. The Forum is gaining more popularity: for example, in 2017, more than 400 people took part in the event in Almaty, and 500 people took part in Nur-Sultan in 2018.
Central Asian International Forum on Quality Assurance in Education became a platform for the sharing good practices and establishing contacts between scientific and educational community. As a result, a number of Memorandums and Agreements on cooperation between educational organizations, scientific and international companies had been signed.
