II Congress of Public Association’s Members "Russian Professors’ Meeting"

On November 12, 2019 II Congress of Public Association’s Members "Russian Professors’ Meeting" was conducted in the Central House of Scientists. At the Congress, priorities for the organization’s actions were identified, a new version of the charter was adopted, the governing bodies were elected. During the event, a scientifically-practical conference "Actual issues of improving the quality of higher education" was held. A broad discussion was launched on such important topics as new approaches to state accreditation of universities, the role of professional and public accreditation and an independent assessment of the quality of students’ training, role and place of federal educational and methodical associations in improving the quality of education. The issue of creating a council on professional qualifications on the basis of the Russian professors' meeting was also considered.

The Congress was attended by M.A. Borovskaya, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, S.M. Kochetova, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science, L.S. Izmaylova, NAA’s Director, E.G Babelyuk, Director of the Department for the Coordination of Activities of Higher Education Organizations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, I.M. Matskevich, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Higher Attestation Commission, the representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, leading universities, regional branches and scientific councils of the Russian professors' meeting.

Russian Professors’ Meeting is an all-Russian public organization uniting the country's leading scientists and teachers. It was created in 2016 to consolidate the scientific and pedagogical workers in Russia.
