NAA’s participation in the meeting of the Education Cooperation Council from the Commonwealth of Independent States

Meeting of the Education Cooperation Council from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS States)

On October 21, 2020, NAA’s representatives participated in an online meeting of the Education Cooperation Council from CIS States. The event took place in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the issues of implementation of Protocol No. 7 of the Council meeting of April 19, 2019, prospects for the development of the activities of the basic organizations of the CIS states in training pedagogical personnel were discussed.
The following decisions were made at the end of the Council:
1. To continue its work on the draft Agreement on accreditation of educational activities of organizations / educational institutions of the CIS states.
2. To consider proposals for the development of common approaches to ensuring the quality of higher education taking into account the differences in the regulatory framework of the accreditation procedure in the CIS member states, as well as restrictions in the labor, tax and migration legislation of the CIS states, the Commission in the field of ensuring the quality of education in the CIS member states.

For reference: The next 2021 year, is an anniversary year for the Commonwealth of Independent States: 30 years ago, on December 8, 1991, the Agreement on the establishment of the CIS was signed.
