On May 20-22, 2021 the further vocational training was held in Ufa
On May 20-22 2021, the National Accreditation Agency conducted training for HEIs’ representatives on the topic "Accreditation of educational activities in the Russian Federation". The event was hosted by the Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla. The seminar was organized in the form of further vocational training program (advanced training) and was aimed at improving the competencies of HEIs’ staff necessary during external quality assessment.
NAA’s heads and leading specialists, international QA agencies’ representatives from Germany and Kazakhstan (AQAS, Germany and IAAR, the Republic of Kazakhstan), the Russian Society "Knowledge", FSBI "Glavexpertcenter", HEIs’ representatives as well as Rosobrnadzor’s certified experts participated in the event.
Lemka Izmaylova, NAA’s Director, made a presentation on accreditation of the educational system and drew the audience’s attention to the importance of internal and external QA during the accreditation procedure. NAA’s Director told about the peculiarities of external review, public and professional public accreditation, European QA standards (ESG) and independent assessment of students’ training quality. Ms Izmaylova told in detail about international ratings of the education quality, the development of HEIs’ international activities in the RF, undergoing international accreditation and increasing the competitiveness of the Russian education at international market. At the end of her speech, Ms Izmaylova thanked the audience for their interest in this event and wished everyone productive work.
Doris Herrmann, Managing Director for Strategy, Process and International Affairs of the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS, Germany) provided the audience with the information on the international accreditation of the agency for study programs in the Russian Federation.
The representative from "Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating" (IAAR, the Republic of Kazakhstan) made a presentation on the employers’ role of in the procedures of external and internal assessment of study programs quality.
At the seminar, some reports were made on the Russian system of qualifications as well as the education system; legal mechanisms for the recognition of foreign qualifications; up-date tools for assessing the quality of educational activities, students’ participation in the procedures for quality assurance and undergoing the international accreditation procedure. NAA’s employees told in detail about the experts’ role in accreditation, their peculiarities, the practice of implementing European standards and guidelines (ESG) in the Russian higher education area.
At the end of the event, NAA’s representatives organized an examination session for the seminar participants and awarded certificates of advanced training.
National Accreditation Agency thanked all the seminar’s participants for their interest and productive work and invited them to take part in future events.
